Jim was a house leader and co-sponsored one of the Jimmy Carter Habitat for Humanity homes building 100 homes in one week in Houston, Texas. He's an author, home-building teacher, national radio home show host, public speaker, guest on Houston television several times, the "Morning Houston Show KHOU-TV," KPRC-Channel 2 News with Hurricane protection tips,"Akins Army" program and the Public Broadcast Channel-8 TV offering Remodeling Tips. Speaker at the Astro Hall for the "New Home Buyers Market" sponsored by (GHBA) on remodeling. Several of Jim's remodeling projects have been feature stories in the Houston House and Home magazines. Currently writing for newspapers and magazines home articles around the nation. Member of the National Association of Home Builders, National Association of Remodelers Counsel, Greater Houston Home Builders Association (GHBA), Custom Home Builders Counsel (GHBA). Holds Texas, Georgia, Colorado and Florida Real Estate licenses. Developer, built over 1000 custom homes and has been in the building industry for over 30 years. Built apartments, townhomes and is a home consultant for homebuyers and owners. Jim's national radio home show "HOMELINE Talk Radio" was also live radio broadcast on the Internet worldwide.
