| The extraction caused by the Windworker serves to
withdraw the warmer air in your house, which is always
forced upwards by the more dense cold air to the highest
point in the building. The temperature inside an attic
area, on a day where the outside temperature is in the
100's can be at least 20 to 40 degrees hotter, depending
on the insulation. This trapped, hot air radiates
downward into the living area, raising the temperature
throughout the house. If the building is closed up during the day, with the air conditioning turned down or off, the first sensation that people will experience when they open the door is that of walking into an oven.
Conventional methods used to cool the living area are directed at cooling the overheated air by using costly air-conditioning or opening windows, which does not let the heat that has risen to the top to escape. The Windworker's cost-free operation and effective air turn-around (about 3 times per hour in a 1,200 square foot area) drastically reduces the work load of conventional air-conditioners and reduces the amount of energy consumed in cooling your home.
